Producers and researchers can order stock footage from the archives using the database to research and request reference videotapes. A signed user form is required to initiate the process: the client indicates the topic and how the material will be used; the archives states the procedure for ordering and the royalty fees charged by the archives for use. Call or write for user form and fees. For stock footage jobs if you are outside of the New England region (Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont) please call Sekani, the stock footage company representing our footage, at 866-473-5264. Research: The first half-hour of research is always free. Additional research is $50 per hour. Technical Services: Technical services, such as preparation of reference copies or masters, are $50 per hour plus the cost of raw stock. Labor is billed in 15 minute increments. If it is necessary to go to an outside vendor for duplication, laboratory or facility will be specified by NHF. All costs of duplication must be paid by client. Usage Fees: A minimum charge of 15 seconds applies to all projects. Clients are billed the minimum charge upon shipment of master. This fee is applied against any usage charges above 15 seconds, to be billed upon completion of the project. A kill fee of 50% of applicable minimum will be applied if original material is ordered but not used. No license for use is given or implied with loan of reference materials. Film and videotape materials licensed to user must be returned to NHF following editing. Copies of completed works must be submitted to NHF for verification of usage. To purchase rights for dissemination to more than one market, compute the highest rate first. Additional outlets are available at 50% of listed per-second rate. Regional productions may be eligible for a discount on use fees. Please inquire for more information. |
