Directed by Colin Campbell and based on the novel of the same title by Rex Beach. The story of two Alaskan mine owners, Roy Glenister and his partner Dextry, and Alex McNamara, a corrupt gold commissioner intent on cheating all mine owners in Alaska out of their claims. Billed as "the only real fight in pictures," the film's climax consists of a brawl between Glenister (played by William Farnum) and McNamara (Thomas Santschi) with real punches and no stunt doubles.  The film would be remade four times.
