Nanook of the North

Before creating this documentary of Eskimo life in the Arctic, Flaherty had lived among the Eskimos in Canada. Shot primarily on the Ungava Peninsula in northern Quebec along the Hudson Bay, the film shows the hardships of the Eskimos' nomadic lifestyle and continuous search for food.
