Flower of the North

Phillip Whittemore (Henry B. Walthall), a young American, travels to the Canadian Northwest to form the Northern Fish and Development Company, where he meets D'Arcambal (Emmett King) and his daughter Jeanne (Pauline Starke), known as "The Flower of the North." Soon after his arrival, Whittemore must rescue Jeanne from drowning and defend his camp with a band of friendly Indians from an attack arranged by a New York capitalist. Based on a book by James Oliver Curwood.
