The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) made a $500,000 Challenge Grant in 2002 to improve Northeast Historic Film's conservation facilities and expand the education programs.
NEH Chairman Bruce Cole wrote, “We are delighted to be a funding partner for this exciting endeavor, and I hope others will join with us in supporting the enrichment of the humanities in America. This is a high honor: yours is one of only two specialized programming entities to receive such an award in fiscal year 2002. Your proposal was reviewed by historians and other individuals with experience in public programming, preservation, and long-term programming for the humanities. These evaluators were especially impressed with the excellent humanities resources in your organization’s moving-image archives.”
Please help us meet the NEH Challenge. We have raised enough to qualify for the first and second years of the three-year challenge. We must raise another $250,000 to release the third year. Your gift of any size will help us reach this goal.
